Development Day Adult Care Bury Training Partnership 28/10/2011

28th October 2011

Bury Adult Care Training Partnership Day

The Lead Partner - Bury Adult Care Services, invited all members of the BACTP (Bury Adult Care Training Partnership) to attend their Development Day which was held on 28/10/2011.

The event was held at the Development & Training Centre Suite at The Seedfield Centre, Parkinson Street, Bury.

Bury Adult Care Services are currently looking to make various changes to the Partnership which will be beneficial to all partners.

One of the proposed changes is to change the structure of the old Partnership Meetings to quarterly full day events, rather than short monthly meetings. This proposed change, along with better attendance, would encourage a variety of speakers to attend and also improve the involvement and interaction amongst partners.

This was the first full day event that has been arranged, and feedback from the day suggested that it was a success.

The day was opened by Kat Sowden (Head of Workforce Modernisation), and followed by an introduction and proposed changes to the new look partnership.

Alix Crawford from Skills for Care provided and update to all partners and Carol Mitchell (Home Care Support) went on to introduce herself as the new contract holder for the Workforce Development Fund in Bury.

The morning was closed by the Workforce Development Team who provided an update around the new Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF).

The afternoon session was provided by Peninsula UK who covered various Employment Law topics and answered any questions from partners.

The Presentations and information from the day can be accessed below.
