Welcome to Bury

2010 is an exciting year for Bury as the cranes move out and new shops, restaurants and leisure outlets begin to open their doors.

If you have not been to Bury for a while, now is the time to plan your next visit to see with your own eyes what’s happening. If you want a sneak preview then one quick browse around the site and we think you will be Bury surprised!

Bury exciting

With the new £350m Rock retail development set to open its doors in July, Bury has become the biggest shopping town in Greater Manchester (with the exception of Manchester itself). Both the Rock and the Millgate Shopping Centre are open seven days a week so if you are a shopaholic there is no better place for you to visit.
With a new Primark, Debenhams, H&M and a bigger Next, River Island and M&S coming to the town centre there is much more choice for the fashion conscious. Coupled with our much-loved award-winning market, voted BBC best food market and Britain’s best market, Bury has so much to offer. So if it’s fresh meat and veg for your winter stew, or a stunning little number for a summer wedding, Bury has to be your number one destination.

Bury Beautiful

Just 30 minutes from the centre of Manchester and you can find yourself in the middle of the rural East Pennine Hills enjoying a walk, you could also find yourself watching a show at the Met Theate, finding out about the past at one of Bury’s museums or on a steam train on the picturesque East Lancashire Railway. With so much on offer for your perfect day out we think you will be Bury relaxed.
